Fake a Salon Blowout
There’s nothing quite like a fresh salon blowout. They come with enough volume and shine to make a girl feel worthy of the catwalk. But who has the time? When you’re in a time crunch but you need a solid blowout, blow dry your hair upside down. Seriously.
- While your hair is damp, apply Bb. Thickening Spray to your roots, and Bb. All-Style Blowdry through your ends.
- Flip your head upside down and get to drying.
- Once it’s all dry, smooth your hair by round-brushing it while you dry. Tada!
Tame Frizz with a Microfiber Towel
Because hair is more vulnerable when it’s wet, using a regular ol’ cotton towel to dry yours can be rough and damaging to it. It can also cause frizz! Instead of rubbing your head ragged with a cotton towel, try using a microfiber towel like this one. Gently pat and squeeze your hair to get excess moisture out and then wrap it up. Not only does it help tame frizz, it dries your hair much quicker than a normal towel does.
Utilize Your Cool Shot
Do you ever take the time to give yourself a nice blowout, only to find that it goes flat or wonky within the hour? There’s a solution for that! If you take a peek at your blowdryer, you’ll see that there’s a little button called the “cool shot”. When you press it, it cools off the air being blown from the dryer. This handy little button is there to help extend your hairstyle. Cool temperatures close your hair’s cuticle resulting in a longer lasting result. So next time you’re round brushing your hair, make sure to hit each section with the cool shot before you move onto the next—it’s a game changer!
*Pro tip: Rinse your conditioner out with cool water for extra smooth, shiny hair.
(Tooth)brush Your Hair
Mega sleek hairstyles exude high fashion energy, which kinda sucks because, well, flyaways. So how do you achieve that Kim Kardashian sleeky sleek? With hairspray and a toothbrush. Trying to push back tufts of postpartum hair or stubborn little flyaways with hairspray and a brush can result in a clumpy, sticky mess. Instead, spray a little hairspray directly onto a toothbrush and smooth those little babies down section by section.
