2021 was the year of the blowout, amazing hair extensions 😉 , and velcro rollers making a comeback. With 2022 right around the corner, we gathered up some of our favorite hair trends we think will be big in 2022.

To kick it off, the middle part is definitely here to stay. TikTok made this a hot topic this year. It turns out people are very loyal to their hair parts. In 2022 you can expect more people to give up that deep side part for a middle part. To pair with the middle part, people will be opting for more face-framing pieces or curtain bangs.

Next, let's talk about haircut trends we are expecting to see. Layers will be huge next year to pair with the effortless hairstyles and blowouts. Another haircut trend that will make an appearance is straight across bangs with a lot of texture. 

The biggest hair accessory this year was the claw clip, and we are happy to say those will still be around in 2022. Beyond the accessory is the idea of effortless hairstyles, and we will see this transition to more loose ponytails and relaxed half-up hairstyles.

When an effortless hairstyle doesn't match the outfit or occasion, sleek hairstyles and straight hair will be all over in 2022. Think clean low buns and slicked-back ponytails.
